The ACPP have four basic areas:
1. Promote the permanent training of its members
2. The School for the training of Psychotherapists
3. The Magazine
of the ACPP.
4. The Cientific Investigation

The financement of the ACPP is covered by:
1. The monthly fees of the associates.
2. The fees for the continued training activities, which are variable.

In order to become an Associate Member of the ACPP it is required
to be a physician or a psychologist with training in psychoanalytic
psychotherapy in the school of the ACPP or another school recognised
by the ACPP.

The following is evaluated:
a) Number of years performing the activity
b) Professors with whom theoretical, technical and clinical
training has been performed
c) Approximate number of hours invested in every activity
d) If there is little experience in the field of clinical
work the number of patients should also be specified
e) Experience in the work with children, adolescents, adults
or groups
f) Attach supporting documents (photocopies) and two small-sized
photographs
